ACB GRAPHIC DESIGN CONTRACT for CD artwork and layout
This is to certify that Jane Doe shall retain the services of Angela Carole Brown, to design, develop, and layout his/her complete CD artwork, including, but not limited to, front and back cover design, back of booklet, inside booklet (up to 8 panels - additional prices can be discussed for booklets of more than 8 panels), disc, and all relevant copy, to the criteria (full color, grayscale, etc.) instructed by Jane Doe .
This is to certify that Angela Carole Brown shall provide graphic design services for the proposed project, herein referred to as "The Project", to Jane Doe 's approval and complete satisfaction, including, but not limited to, exclusive development in Adobe Photoshop, free-hand painting or the use of existing artwork in Angela Carole Brown's own personal catalog, for which there would be no licensing fee, the use of licensed artwork or photography provided by Jane Doe , and recommendations by Angela Carole Brown of professional photographers and/or CD manufacturers, if such recommendations are deemed needed.
This is to certify that any artwork or photography of Jane Doe 's choosing that requires the purchasing of licensing rights is the sole responsibility of Jane Doe , and must be delivered, once secured, to Angela Carole Brown in a high-resolution (300dpi) format, on a data CD or via email JPEG.
This is to certify that Angela Carole Brown and Jane Doe agree to an ongoing and consistent communication toward the development of creative ideas for The Project, including, but not limited to, low-resolution samples that Angela Carole Brown will send, via email, for feedback, and a prompt response of feedback from Jane Doe .
This is to certify that Angela Carole Brown will charge Jane Doe a one-time fee of $750 for this service, for a 10,000-run or less (anything over that must be re-negotiated), and will deliver an approved finished product no later than fourteen (14) days of the signing of this contract.
This is to certify that Jane Doe agrees to pay the sum of $750 to Angela Carole Brown, and will not extend this service, or the payment of this service, beyond fourteen (14) days of the signing of this contract.
This is to certify that Angela Carole Brown will deliver the finished product of The Project to Jane Doe in the form of a data CD, a high-quality photo print proof of the completed artwork, and a payment invoice, no later than fourteen (14) days from the date of the signing of this contract, but with the option of delivering sooner.
This is to certify that Jane Doe will deliver payment, in full, made payable by money order only, to Angela Carole Brown, at the completion of The Project, but before delivery of The Project. No deposit is required; however, The Project will not be delivered to Jane Doe until payment is received by Angela Carole Brown.
This is to certify that neither party will extend these services beyond fourteen (14) days, though not excluding the possibility of a shorter completion time. Should there be the request for an extended amount of time by Jane Doe , beyond the fourteen (14) day agreement, Jane Doe agrees to pay Angela Carole Brown $75 per additional hour, past the fourteen (14) day mark, also to be paid before delivery of the final product.
This is to certify that, once the project is completed, Angela Carole Brown is no longer responsible for the final files (though she will keep them in an archival vault for a period of time), and therefore highly recommends that Jane Doe permanently keep a copy of the final files, in the case that changes need to be made in the future.
All parties agree to the above-mentioned terms.
No addendum to this contract shall be binding, without agreement in writing by both parties.
